I extensively pre-interview potential contributors, select music, sound effects, produce program elements, edit and mix audio and/or visual elements and digitize and package audio and video material for the web and social media. I have worked with various audio recording devices, including Marantz, Zoom and iOS and have superior editing skills in DaletPlus, Adobe Audition and ProTools.

Web Writing

Working closely with syndicated columnists for CBC Radio One, I adapt and digitize weekly radio columns into web stories to push out to local newsrooms across the country. I write, rewrite, copy edit and package content for presentation on mobile and digital platforms in a clear and concise manner.  This includes writing headlines, selecting images and links and designing story layout to optimize audience reach.

I have demonstrated superior writing, editorial, vetting and digital packaging skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills. I have excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling and have demonstrated an ability to “think online” and write for an online audience. I effectively use Polopoly CMS and other digital platforms to enhance audience experience and engagement. I'm also fluent in editing and manipulating images and graphics with Photoshop and I have a working knowledge of CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices and the CBC Language Guide.
